And we’ve been treating soil like dirt. We have developed a foundation restoration system inspired by the greatest foundations achievable by living organisms, trees. Tree roots are one of Earth’s greatest foundation systems — lasting hundreds, sometimes thousands of years. Trees uniformly water their foundations every night through an action called hydraulic redistribution. They engineer their own drainage systems so water does not pool and rot their trunks. They engage with their environment to make a healthier soil ecosystem for themselves and their community.
Every engineer in Texas designs foundations to be maintained. There is no structure that was designed for “set it and forget it”. At Kino Foundation Systems, we have developed a working foundation maintenance and restoration system that utilizes the wisdom of Earth’s greatest foundations, the trees, to protect your home for generations to come.

My name is Brandon Wahle. I am the owner and operator of Kino Foundation Systems. started this company to fill the gap between homeowners and the engineers who design our homes. Every residential foundation is designed with the expectation that it will be maintained over time. Homes aren’t monuments, they’re working systems meant to last when they’re cared for.
Most working-class families live in homes that were designed to be maintained by the homeowner. But very few homeowners are ever shown how that maintenance actually works. If any guidance is given at all, it often comes in the form of a brief pamphlet or general advice that makes foundation care feel mysterious or overwhelming, instead of practical and understandable.
I created Kino Foundation Systems for two reasons:
I believe foundation maintenance can become a science for homeowners if we provide them with enough data and guidance;
Too many homeowners have been priced out of that data.
A single engineering evaluation can easily cost several hundred dollars, while many foundation consultations are focused more on repair solutions. That leaves homeowners doing their best without clear, affordable insight into how their foundation is performing over time.
Kino Foundation Systems exists to change that. We help working-class homeowners access reliable foundation data at a fraction of the typical cost, paired with guidance grounded in years of hands-on experience working alongside structural engineers.
